Stansted Airport's business-to-business exhibition is back again for the third year running.
Check-in@Stansted has grown in terms of exhibitor numbers, sponsors and visitors ever since its launch in 2014.
This year’s event is due to take place on Thursday 23rd June 2016 within the prestigious Hangar amongst executive jets (flown in from around the world) at the Diamond Hangar, London Stansted from 10 am – 4 pm. So put the date in the diary!
It’s FREE to attend and is a great chance for companies to exhibit, network with like-minded people, promote their brand and services and ‘do business together’ in a rapidly growing region!
Amongst the sponsors are London Stansted Airport, Uttlesford District Council, the Diamond Hangar, Herts & Essex Observer, Essex Chronicle, Brentwood Gazette and Global Radio (Heart FM and Smooth Radio) as well as the SACC and The Sowerby Group.
Chris Wiggan, head of external affairs at Stansted, said: "The airport is a key catalyst for growth and jobs in the east of England and the UK, employing over 11,000 people across 190 on-airport companies contributing over £1 billion to the local economy.
"With a growing international airport on the doorstep, this region has a lot to offer and is at the heart of driving forward growth and opportunities, and this is where organisations such as the Stansted Chamber of Commerce and events like Check-in@Stansted really can help."
Mike Foley, executive director at the Diamond Hangar, added: "We've been part of the Check-in@Stansted journey since day one and are very proud of that.
"Our business is unique in terms of the companies operating from within. Check-in@Stansted has provided us with fantastic PR and exposure, and is a great opportunity to promote our brand and the commercial space we have available.
Mike continued "It's also a unique venue for such an exhibition and a great chance for visitors not only to network with businesses, but also to see what really goes on inside a hangar. We cannot wait to see what 2016 brings."
Julie Budden, chair of SACC, said: "This year we're opening the event to more businesses, including food vendors, who we'd like to see promote their brand within a dedicated food area and to sell their food and beverages on the day. We want to see 'foods from around the world'.
"In addition, we've opened the exhibition area to accommodate all businesses – including start-ups and car dealerships. This event truly is suitable for all."
Nicola Wisbey, from Sowerby, added: "This year we'll also be offering a speed networking area to again enhance the benefits of exhibiting and attending the day."
